Pie and ice cream socialJOHN DAY – The John Day United Methodist Church will host its annual homemade pie and ice cream social from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the church, 125 NW Canton Street. Vacation Bible SchoolPRAIRIE CITY – Prairie Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School will be held from 9 a.m.-noon. Monday-Friday, July 28-Aug. 1, at the church, 238 McHaley Street, Prairie City. The theme will be “God’s Big Backyard.” More info: 820-3696.

JOHN DAY – Church of the Nazarene’s Vacation Bible School will be held from 6:30-8:45 p.m. Monday-Friday, Aug. 10-14. The Program is for ages four through grade 6 (going into grade 7) and the theme will be “Custom Garage.” Activities include crafts, songs, Bible lesson, puppets, games and a snack.
