DAR meets, elects new officers

BAKER CITY – The Lone Pine Tree Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution hosted the Oregon State Society of the DAR District V meeting Aug. 15 at the Sunridge Inn in Baker City.
State Officers attending were Regent Lillian Stewart of Jacksonville; Vice Regent Jane Buck of Corvallis; Chaplain Ellen Hopkins of Hood River; Secretary/Treasurer Kathryn Andrews of Prineville; Corresponding Secretary Day Westine of Salem; Registrar Janet Baskerville of Bend, Librarian Chris Naberhuis of Corvallis, Historian Perri Parker – Aloha. Special guests were Honorary Oregon State Regent Jane Eryle of Boise and prospective member Sonya Spear of La Grande.
New officers for District V were elected as follows: Director Dorothy Burgess, Winema Chapter; Vice Director Roberta Morin, Lone Pine Tree Chapter; Sec/Treasurer Kathryn Andrews, Winema Chapter; State Nominating Committee Janet Baskerville, Winema Chapter, and Ways and Means Committee Jeri Kimmell, Winema Chapter.
