JOHN DAY – Monday, Aug. 25th, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints set tables and served the meal. Darlene Nodine led the flag salute and Pat Porter asked the blessing. Louis Zak was the recipient of the certificate from Len’s.
Remember, bingo is played at the center each Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Aug. 28th, members of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church served the meal.
David Turner led the flag salute and Jimmy Maple asked the blessing.
Helen Bogart furnished the entree in memory of Kenny.
Breaded pork chops, scalloped potatoes, string cheese, seafood salad, hot rolls and strawberry cheesecake were served.
Bob McCauley’s story warned of the danger possible, riding the mechanical horse at Wal-Mart. However, the greeter is more helpful than just saying, “Hello.”
Wonderful fresh garden produce is being brought in by Billie Bullard, Bob and Jimmy Maple. It is so appreciated!
Sept. 4th, chicken will be served; Sept. 8th, soup and sandwiches; Sept. 11th, beef (possibly hamburger steak); Sept. 5th, cook’s choice; Sept. 18th, lasagna. Come and enjoy these delicious meals.
