JOHN DAY – Trent Wright was the winner of the Polaris Ranger in a drawing offered by the Grant County Family Heritage Foundation during the Grant County Fair and Rodeo.

The winning ticket was drawn during the Kiwanis Livestock Auction Saturday, Aug. 23.

Other winning tickets were held by Catherine Gibbs, $200; Chandra Holliday, $300, and Ansel Krutsinger, $500.

The drawing was a fund-raiser for the Foundation’s restroom building project at the fairgrounds. The plans are to purchase a prefabricated concrete building to house showers and bathrooms, replacing the aging restroom building on the grounds.

Organizers hope to have the building constructed and put into place this fall.
