To the Editor:

I have lived in the great city of Dayville now for over a year. Since the prices of groceries have gone up, I have been paying more attention to the costs at the various stores. Because of high prices I have been driving to Prineville once a month to save money on groceries.

Last week I went to the Merc in Dayville because our family was out of Imperial Margarine. Much to my surprise, they had it and the cost was just 99 cents a pound.

We are lucky to have two grocery stores in Dayville that try to keep prices down. Congratulations to the Merc for trying to help the citizens of Dayville. I will be shopping more at the Merc and the Mini Mart in Dayville.
