MONUMENT – On Tuesday, Sept. 2, 46 people came to eat and enjoy chicken soup, tuna sandwiches, macaroni salad, pears and brownies. Fossil came to see us; glad to see you and hope you come back soon. There was Robert Brunner, Diane Matley, Tom Hughes, Betty Lutz, Darrel and Lavonne Lacey and Annabell Gabser. Also had Lee Farren from Ukiah.

AirLife is now known as AirLink. There was sort of a Round Robin discussion about this and it explained a lot of things. But I wasn’t there to hear anything, so the sentence I wrote at the beginning of this paragraph is the full extent of my knowledge. I know that before the name change it was a wonderful company and I’m thinking that along with the name change, there were some improvements.

The John Day monthly trip is coming up next Thursday, Sept. 11. So get all of your lists ready, coupons clipped and sign and get ready to go. Then you will have time to rest up in time to go to Ukiah on the 28th.

The certificate winners were Lois Groves, Chester’s Thriftway; Gus Petersen, free meal; Betty Shrofe, bus ride; and Shannon Bravos, Len’s Drugs.

I didn’t get to go play bingo the other night, but I made out like a bandit! My dear, sweet friend Nadine Bradley came over before the games started and brought me a big piece of fresh huckleberry pie! I savored every single bite of it.
