QUOTES will be received by Mark Hensley, Road Master, and opened on Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 24TH, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., local time, at the Grant County Road Department Office, 27941 Lower Yard Road, John Day, Oregon, for the following:

Contractor will crush 5,000 cubic yards of 3/4″-0, and County will either haul off, or stockpile as needed.

LOCATION: Approximately 3 miles up County Road 38, Dick Creek Road, off of State Highway 19, below Picture Gorge.

A MANDATORY PRE-QUOTE MEETING will be held on Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 16, 2008, at 10:00 a.m; Meet at the Road Department Office, 27941 Lower Yard Road, John Day, Oregon, and we will proceed to the site.

Under Oregon Revised Statues (ORS 279.029) each quote shall contain statement as to whether the bidder is a Resident Bidder. Bidder must also demonstrate that a drug testing program is in place, as required by ORS 279.312.

Contractor to furnish all equipment, tools, labor and incidentals necessary for completion.

NO OVERNIGHT MAIL SERVICE is available in this area.

Bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check in the amount of 10 % of the quote shall be attached to the quote. The successful quoter must provide a performance bond for the full bid amount.

Facsimiles will be accepted for this quote process. If faxing quote and required documents, verification will be made of Bid Bond, and other documents, with hard copy to follow. A complete quote package would include: Quote Schedule, Bid Bond, Resident Bidder/Drug Testing form.
