PRAIRIE CITY – Sept. 10, 2008. Again, it was Marvin, Ottis and Buzz preparing six tables this morning. As it turned out, no nursing home residents came as there was no transportation available for them. Eula had 34 signed in. There were six meals delivered.
Flag salute was led by Marvin Casebeer. The blessing was given by Billy Drinkwater.
The Prairie Drug and Hardware certificate was won by Geraldine Johnson.
Our servers were short in numbers. Helen Emmel, Jean Kline and myself.
We had baked potatoes, baked chicken breasts, carrot-light raisin salad, rolls, olives, small tomatoes and fresh peach cobbler.
Edna Bundtrock and Kim Chesley were first-timers.
Pam Howard prewashed the silverware.
Are the hunters finding any deer or elk? Vehicles are.
It is my understanding that Jane (Meader) and her husband are here this week with Barbara Reynolds who is home.
October means flu shots. Oct. 1st at Prairie City Seniors.
