SALEM – A series of town hall meetings is being held across the state – with several in Eastern Oregon – to take comments on land-use and livability issues for the Big Look Task Force.

The 10-member Big Look Task Force was appointed in 2005 by the governor and Legislature to review the state’s land-use-planning system and make recommendations for change.

Of the meetings scheduled this month and next, the closest to Grant County will be:

? Tuesday, Sept. 30, La Grande, Eastern Oregon University.

? Wednesday, Oct. 1, Burns, Burns Armory.

? Thursday, Oct. 2, Bend, Bend Armory.

All the meetings run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
