Justice CourtCANYON CITY – The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:

? Efrain G. Camacho, John Day, was convicted of possession of alcohol by a minor and fined $500. His driver’s license was suspended for a minimum of 90 days and he was ordered to participate in and complete an alcohol treatment program at his own expense.

? Justin Combs, Seneca, was convicted of possession of alcohol by a minor and fined $500. His driver’s license was suspended for a minimum of 90 days.

? David Kevin O’Steen, Grants Pass, was convicted of hunting while criminally trespassing. He was fined $500, placed on bench probation for 12 months and ordered to perform 40 hours of community service. His hunting privileges were also suspended for 24 months.

? Joseph Barnosky, Wyomine, Mont., was cited for not having an Oregon Department of Transportation permit and fined $325.

? Michael Concannon, Burns, was cited for overweight load and fined $62.

? Tessa Jonesburg, Dayville, was cited for careless driving and fined $325.

? Jay Easterday, Caldwell, Idaho, was cited for truck speed (69/55 zone) and fined $190.

? Jon Loranger, Prineville, was cited for overweight load and fined $232.

? Ronald Hodge, John Day, was cited for overweight load and fined $82.

? Leslie Woodworth, Prairie City, was cited for overweight load and fined $82.

? Mendez Oseguera, Carson City, Nev., was cited for not having an operator’s license and fined $242.

Small Claims? D. P. Home Entertainment Inc. v. Kellie McDaniel. Money judgment awarded to D. P. Home Entertainment Inc. in the amount of $1,275.78.

Circuit CourtCANYON CITY – The Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments:

? Corey Dean Watson, 28, was convicted of one count of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was placed on supervised probation for 18 months, ordered to complete 80 hours of community service, jailed for two days and fined $673. His driver’s license was also suspended for one year. He was also convicted of one count of reckless driving, placed on supervised probation for 18 months, ordered to complete 20 hours of community service and fined $333. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. One count of driving under the influence of intoxicants was diverted.

? Theodore L. Cavanaugh, 41, was convicted of one count of possession of methamphetamine. He was placed on supervised probation for 18 months, ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and fined $173 in court fines, costs and assessments. One count of unlawful possession of less than one ounce of marijuana was dismissed.

Oregon State Police? At about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, Oregon State Police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford pickup truck on state route 19 just north of the Highway 26 junction, for failure to dim high beams. Cici V. Foxworthy, 39, of Oregon City, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and lodged in Grant County Jail.

? Police responded to a report of shots fired, apparently at a deer, from a white Ford pickup on N. Humbolt Street about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21. Officer Danny Komning of the John Day Police and OSP Trooper Cody Weaver located the truck at the intersection of Humbolt and West Main Street. Taylor Mathew Myers, 19, of Canyon City, was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and hit and run. Aaron Felix Humbird, 19, of Canyon City, was cited in lieu of custody for hunting in a prohibited area, hours and method; for unlawful use of a weapon; and for minor in possession.

Grant County Sheriff? Dewayne Turner, 23, John Day, was cited for violation of the basic rule (79/55 zone).

? Erick Teel, 19, Prairie City, was cited for driving without a license and failing to obey a traffic control device.

? Brent Schatz, 19, Seneca, was cited for minor in possession.

? A female juvenile from Mt. Vernon was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants and minor in possession.? A male juvenile from Seneca was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.

? A male juvenile from Mt. Vernon was cited for violation of the basic rule (75/55 zone), expired registration and failure to carry registration and proof of insurance.

Vernon area; OSP responded to a report of deer poaching on County Road 20.

Ambulance: John Day ambulance was requested for an 89-year-old woman who was not feeling well; JD ambulance was requested for a 16-year-old girl who was dizzy and nauseous; Mt. Vernon ambulance was requested for a 66-year-old man having chest pains; JD and Unity ambulances were requested for a 73-year-old man having seizures; JD ambulance was requested for an 82-year-old man who had collapsed; JD ambulance was requested for a young adult male who was not very responsive and vomiting; JD ambulance was requested for a woman who recently had surgery.
