CANYON CITY – Grant County Undersheriff Jim McNellis is retiring, and residents are invited to wish him well this Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Sheriff’s Office.

People can drop by between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be refreshments.

McNellis’ retirement is effective Sept. 25.

He has been involved in law enforcement in Grant County for about 20 years, and previously worked in law enforcement in Texas and Western and Central Oregon.
