Letter: Honesty, experience the issues

To the Editor:

A recent letter suggesting Sheriff Glenn Palmer doesn’t have the experience to be sheriff, compared to a write-in candidate who “would be much better” does not address the real issue of an earlier endorsement for Sheriff Palmer. The issue was honesty – that Sheriff Palmer was “dead honest” – and it came from an attorney who has questioned many law enforcement individuals over the years.

Opinions will vary from person to person, but the fact is Glenn Palmer has been a great sheriff for eight years and has known county residents from birth. He represents and protects those rights that are the core value of Americans.

Vote who you will, but for me, I’ll take an honest man first. Re-elect Glenn Palmer for sheriff.
