Taron Nicole Phillips and Benjamin Spaulding have announced their plans to marry.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bob Phillips and Carol Thompson of John Day.

The prospective groom is the son of Greg and Shelly Spaulding of Clarkston, Wash. and the late Glenda Booth.

Phillips is a graduate of Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho and is employed as a substitute teacher by High Desert Educational Service District in Redmond.

Spaulding is a graduate of Clarkston High School in Clarkston, Wash. and is employed as a chef at Seventh Mountain Inn Resort in Bend.
