A late-blooming snapdragon lures a bee in the gardens outside Dee-Dee’s Quilts & Fabrics on Main Street at the east end of John Day. Local residents may want to hang onto that summerlike vision, as cooler fall days usher us into winter. The National Weather Service says cloudy skies and even a chance of some rain are headed our way toward the end of this week.
