To the Editor:

The NRA insists we have a constitutional right to bear arms. Do our present-day citizens really need AK-47 automatic rifles that are designed for military use?

I don’t think they are even needed to shoot moose in Alaska!

A letter in the Eagle (Sept. 24) asks us to “check Obama’s views on guns.” Surely that isn’t the highest priority a candidate for the highest office in the land has on his mind these days.

What really shocked me was the implication that Barack Obama could be compared to Hitler.
