Walk day coming up

CANYON?CITY – International Walk to School Day is Wednesday, Oct. 8, and Humbolt Elementary School’s Safe Routes to School group is encouraging everyone to slip on their sneakers and walk.
Humbolt walking school buses will meet at 7:15 a.m. at the Grant County Library and Canyon City Park.
People Encouraging Prevention (PEP) from Grant Union High School will join in this year, along with adult volunteers.
One additional fall walking school bus day will be held Wednesday, Oct. 15, then pick up again in the spring.
