CANYON CITY – In its Oct. 8 meeting, the Grant County Court:

? Accepted a bid from Quality Heating of Redmond for heating & cooling system services at the Criminal Justice Facility.

? Signed a contract with Mark Latham Excavating Inc. for rock crushing for a private source on County Road 38.

? Approved the Commission on Children & Families’s request to purchase a new computer monitor to replace one that no longer works.

? Delayed a decision on a proposal by 4-R Recycling to lease the former road facility as 323 S. Humbolt Street in Canyon City.

The court also discussed renovation plans for county property located at 200 S. Humbolt Street in Canyon City and 530 E. Main Street in John Day.
