GRANT COUNTY – A small amount of federal grant money is now available here in Grant County to help people needing emergency assistance.

The funds come from the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program and may be used for emergency food and shelter needs, including heating costs.

Applications are available and may be submitted from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning Oct. 20, at the United Methodist Church office, 125 NW Canton Street in John Day. For more information call 575-1326.
