Letter: Granite case noted

To the Editor:

I couldn’t help notice Sheriff Glenn Palmer’s statement in the Oct. 8 Eagle that he would be there for you. I would refer him back to a time in Granite when a local family called the sheriff’s office over eight times in a span of two years to report a person harassing them. Not one time did the sheriff respond to them in Granite.

Subsequently a shooting took place. If Sheriff Palmer had responded, this shooting probably would not have taken place. I don’t know of another sheriff in our 36 counties who would not have responded.

Therefore, Sheriff Palmer, if you are really there for the public, God help us. It’s time to make a change. Vote for Mike Durr.
