Melissa and Sam Helmick of Blanchard, Okla., announce the birth of their daughter, Elexus Marie Helmick, Aug. 27, 2008 in Yukon, Okla. She weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. She joins older sister Emma Helmick age, 21 months.

Grandparents are Ken and Cici Brooks of Fox, Joyce Brooks of Hermiston, and Bill and Karen Helmick of Terra Alta, W.Va. Great-grandparents are Bob and Mary Ellen Brooks of Mt. Vernon, Bud and Effa Aarstad of John Day, and Elizabeth Sisler of W. Va.
