Romance: Sanders - Bryant

Leigh Anne Sanders and Jeff Bryant were married Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, in an afternoon ceremony at The Old Church in Portland.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Starr Sanders. She was born in Southern California and grew up in John Day.

The groom grew up in Astoria, where his father served in the Coast Guard.

The couple met while both were sophomores at Rainier High School in Rainier. They have been attending school at College of the Siskiyous in Weed, Calif., where Jeff completed the fire academy program. He is in his second season as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, stationed in Mt. Shasta, Calif.

Leigh Anne completed her training as a medical transcriptionist at COS and works at Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant in Mt. Shasta.

The newlyweds plan to honeymoon in Las Vegas during Christmastime, after fire season ends. They plan to make their home in the Mt. Shasta area for the next few years.
