Arrests and citations the Blue Mountain Eagle reports are taken from the logs of area law-enforcement agencies. Every effort is made to report the court disposition of all arrests listed.

Justice CourtCANYON CITY – The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:

? Lisa Weigum, John Day, was cited for violation of the basic rule (74/55 zone) and fined $145.

? Gary Knudsen, Hines, was cited for violation of the basic rule (75/55 zone) and fined $145.

? Marlin Robinson, John Day, was cited for driving while suspended for a fine of $427. For having a suspended driver’s license, he was also fined $25.

? Richard Holdren, Canyon City, was cited for having an open container of alcohol and fined $185.

? Dezirae Chobo, Mt. Vernon, was convicted of one count of misdemeanor driving while suspended. She was placed on bench probation for 12 months, ordered to perform 40 hours of community service and fined $200.

? Eric T. Rowley, Burns, was convicted of one count of aiding in wildlife offense, in connection with the unlawful taking of a buck deer. He was placed on bench probation for 12 months, ordered to perform 40 hours of community service and fined $250.

? Tiffany N. Davis, Canyon City, was convicted of one count of possession of alcohol by a minor. She was fined $500 and ordered to participate in and complete an alcohol treatment program. Her driver’s license was also suspended for a minimum of 90 days.

Small Claims? Credit Services of Oregon Inc. v. Phillip Alan Lynall and Elizabeth Alane Lynall. Money judgment awarded to Credit Services of Oregon Inc. in the amount of $272.58.

Circuit CourtCANYON CITY – The Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments:

? Tiffany Noelle Davis, 18, was convicted of one count of second-degree criminal mischief. She was sentenced to bench probation for 12 months, ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and fined $333. Her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. For one count of a minor attempting to purchase alcohol, she was fined $603 and her driver’s license was suspended for one year. One count of reckless driving and one count of violation of the open container law in a vehicle were dismissed. A count of driving under the influence of intoxicants was diverted.

? Jeramy F. Gibson, 22, was convicted of one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor. He was placed on supervised probation for 12 months, ordered to complete 40 hours of community service, jailed for three days and fined $593. Another count of furnishing alcohol to a minor was dismissed.

? Tyler Dee Nodine, 24, was convicted of three misdemeanor counts of first-degree theft. He was sentenced to bench probation for 24 months, 320 hours of community service and a total of $1,899 in fines. One count of first-degree aggravated theft, two counts of first-degree theft and one count of second-degree theft were all dismissed.

DispatchJohn Day dispatch worked 154 calls during the week of Nov. 3-9, 2008. Along with the various traffic warnings, trespassing, injured animals, noise complaints and juvenile complaints, these calls included:

Law enforcement: Oregon State Police responded to a report of an accident on Highway 395 north of Mt. Vernon; OSP responded to a report of a suspicious person on Highway 26 near Indian Creek; Grant County Sheriff’s Office took a report of harassment in the Bumpy Road area; John Day Police responded to a possible assault on NW 3rd Street; Prairie City Fire Department responded to a fire on Strawberry Creek; JD Police cited an Eagle, Idaho woman for not having a driver’s license; JD Police responded to a report of theft out of a car at Chester’s; Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a cow on Highway 26 east of Dayville; Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report that a camp area was torn up at Dixie Campground; Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a missing person in the Bone Point Road area; Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a hit and run in Canyon City; Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of criminal mischief in the Prairie City area; JD Police responded to a report of possible shots fired near the fairgrounds; JD Police took a report of a possible fire at the Seventh Street Complex; JD Police responded to a report of a dog attacking chickens; JD Police responded to a report of a possible fire in the Blue Gulch Road area; U.S. Forest Service responded to a report of a possible forest fire in the Marysville/Dog Creek area; Mt. Vernon Fire Department responded to a report of a possible forest fire in the Fields Creek area; JD Police arrested a John Day man for disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest; PC Fire responded to a report of a flue fire;

Ambulance: John Day ambulance was requested for a man in his 40s who kept passing out; JD ambulance was requested for a 90-year old woman with difficulty breathing; JD ambulance was requested for a 69-year-old man who had passed out; JD ambulance was dispatched for a man having a possible seizure; JD ambulance was requested for an elderly man who had passed out from unknown circumstances and was not breathing well; JD ambulance was requested for an 85-year old man having chest pains; JD and Dayville ambulances responded to a 71-year old woman, unconscious but breathing; JD ambulance responded for a man who had stepped on glass and cut himself badly; JD ambulance was requested for a baby having a seizure; JD and Dayville ambulances were requested for an elderly man who had passed out and may have had a heart attack; JD ambulance was requested for a man in his 60s having severe chest pains.
