Births: Cooper Maxwell Ross

Sylvia Dowdy and Blain Ross of John Day announce the birth of their son Cooper Maxwell Ross at 5:37 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Baker City. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Grandparents are Terri and Jerry Gunther of Gales Creek, Steve Ross of Chiloquin, and Sherri and Lenny Dowdy of John Day. Great-grandparents are Joyce and Ronny Dowdy of Mt. Vernon, Lois Hickerson of John Day and Helen Ross of Forest Grove. Great-great-grandmother Velma Dowdy lives in Marcola.
