First off I would like to thank the parents of the GU football players, you guys and gals were awesome this year. The fans what can you say, but the best, and it was proven by their attendance to all 3 away playoff games, from Amity to Bend and then to Hillsboro for the 3A State Title. Now to the players. I have watched alot of you play sports since the first grade, and then comes middle school, 8TH Grade football unbeaten first time ever, that was fun as a parent and how could you top that well, senior year in high school. Go Unbeaten, beat Vale for the first time in 34 years, win the EOL Championship, have the best defense in all of 3A and then to win the Class 3A State Football Championship, Grant Union’s first was in 1943 and now 65 years later their 2nd. I would like thank you boys for the last 12 years or so of some great sports moments and it has been a pleasure to watch you boys grow into fine young men, as for #53 I am very proud of you and love you. Thanks for the ride this year fellows, it was one heck of a ride, one heck of a ride.
