Dazzling Timber Truckers Parade entries win cash, fuel (video)

JOHN DAY – Winners in this year’s Timber Truckers Light Parade took home prizes in cash and fuel.
The prizes were announced during a dinner at the fairgrounds pavilion, following the parade Saturday night, Dec. 13. Parade announcers were Phil Gray of KJDY and Sen. Ted Ferrioli. Pat Webb of KJDY and Greg Jackson of Jackson’s Oil were the emcees for the dinner program.
The winners include:
Trucks: 1st, Bar Trucking, $200 cash from OTECC and 125 gallons diesel from Jackson Oil; 2nd Dakon Logging, $100 from Boyd Britton Welding; 3rd, Oregon Department of Forestry, $50 from Frontier Equipment.
Floats: 1st, U.S. Forest Service, $200 cash from O’Rorke Logging and 125 gallons diesel from Jackson Oil; 2nd, Grayback Forestry, $100 cash from Coldwell Banker; 3rd, Victory Baptist Church, $50 from Iron Triangle.
Commercial: 1st, Chester’s, $200 cash from Prairie Wood Co-Gen; 2nd, Frontier Equipment, $100 from Malheur Lumber; 3rd, OTECC, $50 from Duncan Truck & Equipment.
Farm and Ranch: 1st, Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, $200 from Bob and Mary Ellen Brooks.
People’s Choice: Bar Trucking; $200 from KJDY.
Independent: John Lemons Trucking, two tires from Les Schwab and $150 gift certificate from Nydams.
Driver’s Drawing: Rhonda Burdick, $250 from Timber Truckers Committee; Dave Nelson, $200 from John Day City Council.
