BAKER CITY – The board of directors for Oregon Trail Electric Consumers Cooperative (OTECC) appointed the director nominating committee for Grant County during its regular meeting on Dec. 9.

Appointed to serve were Patricia Webb, Gail Enright, and Newell Cleaver. The committee is responsible for nominating candidates for board position No. 6, currently held by Gary Miller.

OTECC members interested in the position or interested in having input in the nominating process should contact a member of the nominating committee.

Directors serve three-year terms. The election will be completed at the annual meeting on May 9 in Burns.

A copy of the bylaws describing the terms of the office and qualifications needed to serve on the nine-member board of directors is available at any OTECC office.

Committees must submit their nominations by Feb. 6.

Nominations by petition must be filed no later than March 9. The petition must be signed by the candidate and at least 250 OTECC members qualified to vote. In addition, there must be a request that the candidate’s name be placed on the ballot.
