Lonnie Dale Plemon Sr., 70, of Seneca, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at his home. A funeral service was held March 10 at Driskill Memorial Chapel, with interment at Canyon City Cemetery.

Mr. Plemon was born Nov. 28, 1938 in Eau Clair, Wis., to Jeramiah and Freda (Kohn ) Plemon.
He served for 12 years in the U.S. Army as a private first class. On June 5, 1959, he married Mary Estle in Vancouver, Wash.
He worked for over 20 years as a professional truck driver, owning his own company. He retired in 2005. One of his greatest accomplishments was never having an accident in all those years.

He was a member of the Sheriff’s Posse (Search and Rescue), American Legion and the Elks; he also taught a hunter’s safety course. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, hiking and working with mechanics.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Plemon of Seneca; his son, Lonnie Plemon Jr. of Seneca; daughter-in-law, Lee Plemon of Burns; and one grandson, Mark Plemon of Burns.
