Enjoy the long Labor Day weekend. The center will be closed Monday, Sept. 7. Grant County beef will be served Sept. 10.
Aug. 27 Rozanne Mullin and Darlene Nodine, representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints served the meal. Rozanne led the flag salute and Billy Drinkwater asked the blessing.
Taco salad with all the trimmings was served. The dessert was dixie cups and cookies.

The Len’s certificate was awarded to Don Porter, one of the “number one” volunteers, and Charlie Hyder will eat free, thanks to the site council.
Aug. 27, St. Elizabeth Church members served. Walt Hall led the flag salute and Jimmy Maple asked the blessing.
Mildred Allen thanked everyone for reminding her of her birthday, as she might forget. Sept. 2 is the day – happy birthday, Mildred!
The Chester’s certificate went to Becky Stewart, and Marjorie Harris can top off her gas tank at Leather’s Oil. Thanks to all who, in any way, contribute to the center.
Hope everyone thanked Thelma Temple for furnishing the entree of lasagna. Also served was tossed salad, mixed veggies, hot rolls and jello dessert. Compliments to cook Cindy and helpers, Judy and Sharron.
Bob as usual was here with one of his “old folks” stories.
Fresh vegetables and fruit are being brought in by several gardeners. A jar is available for donations, which go to the center.
