JOHN DAY – Thursday, Sept. 10, Nydam’s Ace Hardware furnished the entree. Driskill Memorial Chapel and Velvet Touch Car Wash provided a beautiful birthday cake for the September birthdays.

Members of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship served the meal. Donna Johnson led the flag salute and Carla Anderson asked the blessing.

The ladies bridge players joined to play cards and then to enjoy dinner.

A bus group frorm Monument and Long Creek also came for dinner and shopping.

On Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 28 and 29, there will be a defensive driving class offered at the center.

Thelma Asher received the certificate from Chester’s Thriftway and Leona Martin was awarded the free meal, thanks to the site council.

I feel sorry for folks, whoever they are, who live in a house with no cookie jar.
