Tigers pickup first win

MONUMENT – The Dayville/Monument/Long Creek Tigers picked up their first win of the season 32-26 over Adrian earlier today in Monument.

The Tigers broke a 26-26 tie with 9:05 left in the game on a run by Joseph Ramirez.

Adrian would get the ball as close as the four yard line late in the game, but could not come up with any points.

“It was a hard fought battle,” head coach Butch Sagaser said shortly after the game ended.

Sagaser said it was pivotal game for the Tigers (1-3) and gives them confidence going into next week.
