John Day Seniors 2: 11.4.09

JOHN DAY – The Senior Center is very thankful for the wonderful support of our entree program. It is supported by local businesses and individuals. The program enables our cooks to prepare fine meals for all of us to enjoy.

We will not have a flu clinic this year at the Center. Due to staff shortages, the health department is conducting clinics at their office, with times posted on KJDY.

We play bingo every Tuesday evening at the Center. Play starts at 6:45 p.m. and we are finished by 9 p.m. Isa Larkin was the winner of the large blackout game. She is one of our faithful supporters, so we were happy for her.

Boyd Britton furnished the Leather’s certificate. Thanks, Boyd!

Editor’s note: Carryl Magee will take over the John Day Seniors report next week, with the retirement of Wilma Bauer. Thanks to both of these seniors for their commitment to the community of Eagle readers!
