Ben and Samantha Phillips of Nampa, Idaho, announce the birth of their son, Asher Gabriel Phillips, Nov. 30, 2009, at the Mercy Birthing Center in Nampa. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. He joins older sister, Lucy, age 2.

Grandparents are Greg and Tammy Bremner of Canyon City; Andy and Maxine Day of John Day; and Luke and Rose Phillips of Eden, Idaho. Great-grandmother is Garnet Shank of John Day.
