Econ summit coming up

JOHN DAY – The second annual Grant County Economic Summit, focusing on ways to bolster the local economy, is set for Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Forest Service building in John Day.

The summit, free and open to the public, will include presentations about the county’s labor market, the cattle industry, the wood products sector, tourism, and forestry.

The summit is hosted by the Grant County Economic Council. More than 100 people attended the first summit held in October 2008.
