OTEC candidates on TV

BAKER CITY – Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) members can now meet the candidates for OTEC’s board of directors by watching brief video interviews on OTEC-TV.

Ballots for the OTEC elections were mailed on April 16. Three positions on the OTEC board of directors are up for election. Candidates on the ballot this year are:
? Union County candidate for position No. 7 is incumbent Greg Howard. Challenging Howard is Gary Tate.

? Union County candidate for position No. 8 is incumbent David Baum.
? Baker County candidate for position No. 9 is incumbent Peggi Timm.
All candidates are running to serve a 3-year term. Nominating committees appointed for each district selected candidates for the ballot.
In addition, there is one proposed by-law change on the ballot related to the election and qualifications of directors.
Winners will be announced at OTEC’s annual meeting, set for May 15 at the Blue Mountain Conference Center in La Grande. If ballots are mailed, they must be received by May 14.
