The new John Day Community Garden has plots available for the 2010 growing season. The plots cost $20 for a 5-foot by 20-foot bed or $15 for a 5-by-15 bed.
Plots are available at two sites: the new garden at the Third Street extension, east of the Grant County Fairgrounds, and the raised beds at Families First.
Opening day at the garden will be Saturday, May 22. At 9 a.m. members of the garden board will provide handouts and go over the procedures and tips for proper use of the garden.
