Summer junior golf program set

JOHN DAY – Grant Union High School Golf Coach Ron Lundbom invites boys and girls ages 8 to 18 to a junior golf camp in John Day.

The camp will start Monday, June 28, at John Day Golf Club, and will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at noon. Camp concludes with a scramble and pizza feed on Friday, July 9.

Golfers can sign up from 9 and 10 a.m. Monday, June 28. The cost is $25 per golfer.

Golf instructor Pat “Patch” Freeman of Long Creek will be part of the program. A few junior clubs will be available to use, free of charge.

Scholarships are available for those in need.
