JOHN DAY – On Monday, June 21, we had “Cook’s Choice” and they chose to serve chicken noodle soup, drop biscuits, salad, and cookies for dessert.

Ms. Primrose led the flag salute and Rev. Jack Retherford gave the blessing. Members of Bible Way Community Church served the meal.

Nadine Smith was the lucky winner of the certificate from Len’s Drug Store.

Hamburgers with all the fixings was the meal for Thursday, June 24. We had good baked beans and a pasta salad, and rhubarb dessert cake with cool whip on it. The entree was furnished by Oster Professional Group. The servers were members of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. David Turner led the flag salute and Father Bartholemew Ifionu gave the blessing, Marjorie Harris won the certificate from Chester’s Thriftway, and Thelma Kite won the free meal.

We had a nice group from Baker join us for dinner. They were held up by a couple of construction projects, but they got here in time to eat with us. Come back again; we enjoy having you.

The Godwins were here as Wilma Bauer’s guests.

The Center will be closed on July 5th.

On Monday, July 1, the menu is roast pork, potatoes and gravy, salad, hot vegetable, rolls and dessert.
