Grant County officials and volunteers belted up and took aim Thursday in a celebrity shoot held as part of the Oregon State Cowboy Fast Draw Competition.

They shot wax filled bullets at targets, with both speed and accuracy critical to the scores. When the smoke had cleared, The Enforcer (aka District Attorney Ryan Joslin) won the bragging rights, out-shooting The Prospector (Grant School District superintendent Mark Witty) and Guzzlin’ Greg (Jackson Oil operator Greg Jackson) in the final rounds. In all, 11 local folks participated in the event.

The event, sponsored by the legendary Idaho Shootists, was set to continue through Sunday, Aug. 15, with contests for serious fast-draw competitors.
