There may have been clouds overhead, but it was all smiles in downtown John Day on Saturday, Aug. 28, for the Grant County Fair and Rodeo Parade.

The procession featured glitter-maned horses, dancing children, shiny vehicles, roaring ATVs, local political candidates, and a 6-foot-tall chicken.
