Arrests and citations in the Blue Mountain Eagle are taken from the logs of area law-enforcement agencies. Every effort is made to report the court disposition of all arrests listed.

Justice Court

CANYON CITY The Grant County Justice Court reported the following fines and judgments:

Jeremy Majors, Mt. Vernon, was convicted of second-degree disorderly conduct as a violation, and fined $800.

Cole J. Maley, John Day, was convicted of minor in possession and fined $500. His drivers license was suspended for at least 90 days. 

Cody B. Sederlin, Prairie City, was convicted of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and fined $1,000.

Christopher B. Rowe, Mt. Vernon, was convicted of driving while suspended, and fined $1,013.25. Counts for failing to install interlock device and illegal display of plates were dismissed. 

Eric Lee Norman, John Day, was convicted of reckless burning as a violation, and fined $500.

Erik A. McKibben, Coburg, was convicted of borrowing a buck deer tag as a violation, and fined $1,250.

Matthew T. Smith, Burns, was convicted of driving while suspended, and fined $1,250.

Circuit Court

CANYON CITY The Grant County Circuit Court reported the following fines and judgments:

Shane Lee Sanders, 37, was convicted of fourth-degree assault, sentenced to supervised probation for 18 months, and fined $668. On one count of third-degree theft, he was fined $102. Counts for menacing, harassment and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle were dismissed.

Carrisa L. Ross, 25, was convicted of manufacture of marijuana, sentenced to jail for 20 days, supervised probation for two years and 80 hours of community service, and fined $1,208. One count of unlawful manufacture of marijuana with 1,000 feet of a school was dismissed. 

Georgette Isnardi Heck, 47, was convicted of DUII, sentenced to jail for 10 days, bench probation for 12 months, and fined $1,678. Her drivers license was suspended for three years. Seven counts of recklessly endangering another person were dismissed. 

Cody James Cole, 29, was convicted of one count of recklessly endangering another person. He was sentenced to bench probation for one year, ordered to do a presentation to high school/underage students in the Monument area, about the dangers of drinking and driving, and fined $167. On one count of violation of the open container law in a motor vehicle, he was fined $300. Four counts of recklessly endangering another person, and one for DUII, were dismissed. 

Lynn Howard Simpson Jr., 20, was convicted of third-degree rape, sentenced to jail for 30 days, supervised probation for three years and 80 hours of community service, and fined $1,708. On one count of third-degree sodomy, he was sentenced to jail for 30 days, supervised probation for three years, and fined $708. On both counts, he was also ordered to register as a sex offender and to not knowingly associate with the victim or the victims family, except when agreed upon. One count of first-degree sexual abuse was dismissed. 

Oregon State Police

At 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10. Oregon State Police assisted Grant County Sheriffs Office with a DUII investigation at the Grant County Jail. Shelli Correa, 49, Mt. Vernon, had been arrested about 10 a.m. that morning and was lodged in jail on charges of DUIIcontrolled substance.

About 9:56 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, troopers responded with the Grant County Sheriffs Office and John Day Police to Northeast Dayton Street to try to locate a silver Dodge Dakota involved in a hit-and-run crash in a parking lot behind the Grubsteak/Dirty Shame in John Day. About 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, police took Alfie Ludahl, 67, of John Day, into custody on two counts of DUII and failure to perform duties of a driver. 

At 10:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, troopers responded to a report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a NW 2nd Street apartment in John Day. Gerald L. Mills, 53, Mt. Vernon, in violation of his probation, was lodged in Grant County Jail on charges of criminal trespassing and menacing.
