Blue Mountain Hospital provides a full service radiology department. X-Ray fluoroscopy, mammography, MRI, ultrasounds, CT scanning, C-arm portable fluoroscope for intra-operative procedures and bone density tests. Most procedures are performed during business hours. The radiology department has four full-time employees and two part-time employees. Andrea Buehrig specializes in womens imaging. Most services are covered 24 hours a day. The radiology department boasts several new pieces of equipment. The MRI unit is parked at the hospital permanently. Our best acquisition is the new G4 Slice Low pose CT scanner. The machine is capable of performing high-speed, fine-detail scanning. The radiology department uses PACS technology which allows the department to go filmless and also allows access to the speciality doctors in Bend without actually having to go there.
