JOHN DAY – The Grant Union High School softball team made history this spring.

In their sixth year, they not only won the Eastern Oregon League title for the second time, but they played through all the way to the state semifinals, losing 0-10 to the Glide Wildcats.

The Lady Prospectors were lead by seniors Shannon Croghan, Mackinsey Nash, Amanda Branstetter, Ashley Dancer, Bria DeHaven and Ashlee Brockway, guided by head coach DeAnna Nash.
