JOHN DAY About 52 Grant County high schoolers ran through neighborhoods in John Day, knocking on doors and trying to be the first back to the city park with the full list of items and digital pictures in this years Safe Communities Scavenger Hunt.
Several said the two toughest items to find were a digital picture of the FBIs most wanted list and John Lennon memorabilia.
One participant said the funnest digital picture they took was of a team member doing a hand stand in front of the Grant County map sign.
The easiest items to find included a calendar and a digital pictures of them reading the Blue Mountain Eagle and wearing their seatbelts in a vehicle.
The youth enjoyed a barbecue once everyone returned to the park at the June 2 event sponsored by Grant County Safe Communities Coalition.
