BAKER CITY A series of five youth shotgun skills clinics has been set by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife at the Baker Trap Club in Baker City.

The clinics will be held on Saturdays: July 9, July 23, Aug. 13, Aug. 27 and Sept. 7.

The clinics are free to youth age 18 and younger, and those who have taken a hunter education course and who are familiar with basic gun safety principles, will benefit.

There will be instruction on shooting technique and actual live firing with clay targets. Youth are encouraged to attend all clinics, or as many as possible, to build a sound foundation.

Targets, ammunition (20 gauge and 12 gauge) and firearms will be provided by ODFW.

The Baker Trap range is approximately one mile north of Baker City on Highway 30. Follow a sign at the junction of Highway 30 and Imnaha Road.
