PRAIRIE CITY – Two popular fishing sites – one in Grant County, the other within casting distance away in neighboring Wheeler County – are on the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s “Easy Angling Oregon” listing for the state’s northeast zone.
Magone Lake – for trout – and the John Day River from Kimberly to Service Creek – for world class’ smallmouth bass – are highlighted as opportunities to catch fish and enjoy the amenities.
