Wanted: Rodeo sheep

    JOHN DAY Grant County fair staff is looking for a few sheep for the Cow Kids Rodeo, Sunday, Aug. 28, at the fairgrounds arena.

Golf carts need shuttle drivers

    JOHN DAY Volunteers are needed to drive golf carts to shuttle people to and from the fairgrounds during the Grant County Fair Wednesday-Saturday, Aug. 24-27.

    Each shift is two hours. Call the fair office at 541-575-1900 to sign up.

Grill-off is off

    JOHN DAY The Painted Hills Natural Beef Backyard Grilling contest, slated for Wednesday, Aug. 24, during the Grant County Fair, has been cancelled by the State Fair Association due to lack of participants statewide.
