Making a small difference in ending world hunger, swimmers, cyclists and runners teamed up or competed individually last Saturday. Triathlon for Hunger 2011 athletes swam 10 laps in Gleason Pool, cycled for 12.4 miles, and ran 3.1 miles. Money raised was donated to Grant County food banks, and to the Malawi Children’s Village, a community-based AIDS orphan program in Africa.
