HINES – Logging operations are under way on Jane Timber Sale on the Emigrant Creek Ranger District, in the Wolf Mountain area.

The work is about three miles north of Forest Road 17 on the 1710 road. Log hauling begins this week and will use Forest Roads 1710106, 1710, and 17 en route to Highway 395.

Drivers are cautioned to watch out for the water truck on Forest Road 15, as it may stop at Wolf Creek to fill up. 

  Visitors to this area of the Forest are urged to use caution while driving or recreating. There will be a large volume of log truck traffic and heavy equipment activity. Drivers should drive with their headlights on, slow down when approaching curves and be aware of workers in the area.   

Meanwhile, logging and hauling for the Silvies sale on Forest Road 31 has been completed.
