HINES – A wildfire reported near Burns on Sunday was caused by arson.

The Burns Interagency Fire Zone confirmed the cause Monday, as firefighters battled the blaze in Theimer Canyon, about 14 miles north of Burns along Highway 395.

Anyone with information about the fire is urged to contact the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, Oregon Department of Forestry or the Harney County Sheriff’s Office.
