Adults get back at the bat

JOHN DAY Co-ed softball returned again to the plate.
The John Day/Canyon City Parks and Recreation program was a hit, according to Kim Ward.
Games concluded with a tournament Aug. 17 and 18. The winning team was The Hit Squad, with team captain Kim McKrola. Second-place went to “No Glove, No Love,” captained by Ashlee Brockway, and third to “Where’s My Pitches At?,” captained by Zach Williams.
Other teams included the Slumbolt Sluggers (Robin Souza); The Wright Team (Kelsey Wright); Blue Mountain Hospital team (Dan Goldblatt); and Bats and Babes (Tanni Wenger).
